Georgia Message Articles Submission Guidelines
Thank you so much for your willingness to serve this amazing fellowship within Area 16 and Alcoholics Anonymous as a whole. Below are the article guidelines that will assist the Communications Committee in preparing and publishing the Georgia Message.
Due Dates / Article Submissions
Articles for The Georgia Message of AA are due on the first of the month preceding the Message
- January / February edition: due date December 1st
- March / April edition: due date February 1st
- May / June edition: due date April 1st
- July / August edition: due date June 1st
- September / October edition: due date August 1st
- November / December edition: due date October 1st
Article Nomenclature / Format
- Ensure the title is included at the beginning of the article.
- Remember to title your article at the top of the page.
- To assist with consistency in formatting and publishing, please use Arial 11pt font.
- Format your article in a Word document (.docx) format or submit your article in Google Docs.
- Title your article document as ServicePosition_MessagesMonths_Year
- Example: Delegate_JanFeb_2023
- Example: Delegate_JanFeb_2023
Suggested Article Length Word Counts
- Delegate: 400-750 words
- Alternate Delegate: 300-500 words
- Treasurer: 200-300 words
- Secretary: 200-300 words
- Committee Chairs: 200-300 words
Use of Graphics
- Limit to one per articles
- If using graphics, please keep the article length to the minimum word count
